POLICIES

RETAINERS AND PAYMENT

To secure a date and time, The Sapphire Room's contract must be signed and returned via email and a 20% non-refundable retainer is required. The final balance is due a day prior to the event, and subject to additional fees the day-of, such as parking fees, added service, etc. The person responsible for payment is the person who signed the contract agreement. 

MAKEUP TRIALS

Mandatory for all brides, and be booked 2-3 months before event. It is highly recommended but not mandatory to wear white or black so you can truly assess the makeup. If you will have a spray tan for your event, have it done for your trial. This can majorly impact colour choices. Book your hair trial and come with your hair done - truly try to accomplish the vibe you have in mind, including your wedding jewelry! Be open to skincare advice - it's Sam's signature! Sam wants your makeup to look like skin no matter how much is applied. The condition your skin is in significantly impacts makeup application and longevity. During peak wedding season trials are booked on weekday evenings. Makeup is subject to change - Sam tweaks your makeup to perfection on your event day and uses your trial as a starting point. The aim of your trial is to get to about 80%. Your feedback is key! 

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING POLICY

Cancellations must be made 120 days prior to the reserved date or the client is responsible for paying the full amount agreed upon in the service agreement. 

Rescheduling must be requested 60 days prior to client's reserved date. Retainer can be transferred one time, then a new retainer will be required, and prices are subject to current changes, if any. If you reschedule more than twice, the full payment is required upon booking and is non-refundable and non-transferable. 

LIABILITY

All makeup products, brushes, tools, and accessories are sanitized with 75% isopropyl alcohol between makeup applications. Products, kit, and brushes are deep cleaned after each event. Please report any allergies upon booking. Client(s) agree to release Samantha Lees and The Sapphire Room from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions or sensitivities. 

PEAK WEDDING SEASON

Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays require a minimum of 5 people to book. If the number of people is less than 5, the minimum fee of $735 + travel and possible early start fee is applied. 

SATISFACTION GUARENTEED

Makeup will be completed to client's satisfaction and as discussed. Tweaks and touch ups can be made after application. Client must acknowledge acceptance of makeup is completed to their satisfaction. 

SOCIAL MEDIA

Samantha Lees and The Sapphire Room has the right to use photos acquired from you, your photographer, or before/after photos personally taken for their portfolio and for social media purposes. 

HOUSEKEEPING

Client must stay off their phone during makeup application and refrain from eating or writing. Delegate your to-do list to your bridesmaids, pour a drink, sit back and relax. This will keep your day running on time and enable your makeup artist to perfect your vision as smoothly as possible.
